Duct Tape Survival Bucket
You will need
- Duct Tape
- A log without notches on it.
Directions:
- Take your duct tape and wrap it around the log with the sticky surface facing outwards. You will do this as many times as needed. It all depends on the size of the bucket you need. If you need a wide bucket choose a log that is wide. The height of the bucket is also up to you just make sure that each piece of duct tape faces outwards and that each piece overlaps the other by just a bit to ensure that it all sticks together.
- Then once you have the desired width and height you will then take strips of duct tape and place them sticky side out on the bottom making sure to cover the entirety of the bottom.
- Once you have done that then you will want to repeat this process however you will now use the duct tape with the sticky side facing downwards. Repeat every step as this ensures that your bucket will be solid and reinforced.
- Now you will want a long piece of duct tape to make your handle. You can place the first long piece of duct tape to the inside of the bucket with the sticky side facing outward and then secure it with a piece of duct tape on each side then repeat with another piece this time the sticky side facing downward.
- And there you have it. Your duct tape bucket. You will find that not only does this bucket float on water but it can also successfully carry liquid or other items needed.
It really is that simple. So tell us. Have you tried this trick or something like it? How did it work for you?
